About the Role
Security Level 5 is seeking an operations professional to manage internal operations and projects, enabling the technical team to focus on their mission of defending frontier AI models. This role offers the opportunity to shape the organization's direction and gain expertise in a niche field.
Responsibilities
- Find and manage a new office space in San Francisco, including search, negotiation, buildout, and move-in.
- Plan and execute team events, including happy hours and offsites.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive new hire onboarding process.
- Coordinate with external providers for accounting, payroll/HR, and legal services.
- Create and maintain internal policies for organizational coherence, including document management, expenses, travel, and security.
- Select, provision, and manage the team's SaaS tool stack.
- Handle various administrative tasks to support the team's productivity.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in operations, office management, executive support, or a similar role, preferably in a startup or high-performing nonprofit.
- Proven ability to manage and complete poorly scoped projects proactively.
- Detail-oriented and conscientious approach to work.
- Service-minded attitude, motivated by impact even in non-glamorous tasks.
- Effective communication skills with engineers, vendors, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and good judgment.
- Capacity to make decisions with operational security in mind.
