About the Role

The Business Analyst is responsible for understanding business needs, analyzing processes, identifying improvement opportunities, and translating requirements into effective solutions for business and digital transformation initiatives. This role supports the delivery of customer-focused, scalable, and efficient solutions by facilitating requirements gathering, process analysis, solution design, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews, and stakeholder discussions to understand business needs and objectives.
  • Develop user stories, acceptance criteria, business requirements, and supporting documentation.
  • Analyze current-state processes and define future-state solutions.
  • Document business rules, workflows, and process maps to support solution design and implementation.
  • Work closely with Product, Technology, and Delivery teams to ensure requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
  • Support the design and implementation of digital and operational solutions.
  • Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Assist in evaluating solution options and recommending improvements aligned with business objectives.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect management, and business readiness activities.
  • Build effective relationships with business and technology stakeholders.
  • Communicate requirements, issues, risks, and recommendations clearly and effectively.
  • Facilitate discussions to resolve conflicting priorities and achieve stakeholder alignment.
  • Act as a liaison between business users and delivery teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify opportunities to improve business processes, customer experiences, and operational efficiency.
  • Support the definition and tracking of business outcomes, KPIs, and success measures.
  • Contribute to process improvement and business transformation initiatives.
  • Promote best practices in business analysis and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years' experience as a Business Analyst in a business, digital, or technology delivery environment.
  • Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business requirements through the delivery lifecycle.
  • Strong process analysis and process mapping skills.
  • Experience working with both business and technology stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting project or Agile delivery teams.
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Information Technology, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and customer-focused.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience in insurance, travel, financial services, or other customer-focused industries (desirable).
  • Experience working on digital transformation or customer experience initiatives (desirable).
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies (desirable).
  • Business Analysis certification (IIBA, ECBA, CCBA, or equivalent) (desirable).
