About the Role
The Digital Product Manager (Product Owner) is responsible for driving the performance, optimisation, and strategic evolution of customer and partner facing digital platforms across both B2C and B2B partnerships. This role drives the digital product lifecycle, ensuring platforms deliver seamless, high-converting customer experiences that support commercial growth, customer satisfaction, operational efficiency, compliance and partner requirements. The role combines strong product ownership discipline, analytics capability, and UX/UI focus, playing a key role in reporting and performance optimisation to drive data-led decision making.
Responsibilities
- Own and manage the end-to-end product backlog for B2C (websites and call centre platforms) and B2B partner platforms.
- Define and prioritise features, enhancements, and defects based on customer value, commercial impact, regulatory requirements, and technical feasibility.
- Translate business requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable development tasks.
- Lead Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Interact with key B2B partners to align product priorities and update on key initiatives and performance.
- Partner with offshore and onshore development teams to ensure efficient delivery and alignment to roadmap priorities.
- Own platform performance measurement across key KPIs including conversion, funnel progression, customer drop-off, engagement, and site speed.
- Develop and maintain reporting frameworks and dashboards in partnership with data teams.
- Analyse performance trends and identify opportunities to optimise conversion and improve customer journeys.
- Provide regular reporting and actionable insights to stakeholders, linking performance to commercial outcomes.
- Support forecasting and scenario modelling to inform product and commercial decisions.
- Champion a customer-first mindset, ensuring all product decisions are grounded in customer needs and behaviour.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers to continuously improve usability, accessibility, and design consistency.
- Lead optimisation initiatives including A/B testing, conversion rate optimisation, and user research.
- Drive continuous improvement of end-to-end customer journeys across all digital touchpoints.
- Work closely with marketing teams to ensure seamless integration of campaigns, content, and conversion pathways.
- Act as the central point of coordination for platform enhancements across Marketing, IT, Product, CX, Compliance, and external partners.
- Align with acquisition and retention teams to ensure cohesive digital journeys across channels.
- Manage relationships with third-party vendors, platforms, and development partners as required.
- Translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes, and vice versa.
- Ensure all platform developments adhere to regulatory, compliance, and security requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of features, releases, technical decisions, and workflows.
- Contribute to the development of product roadmaps and long-term capability planning.
- Support audit and risk processes as required.
- Coach and develop junior product resources to build capability in requirements definition, stakeholder management, and Agile delivery.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and collaboration within the team.
- Provide clear prioritisation, direction, and feedback to ensure high-quality outputs and professional growth.
- Act as a role model for data-led decision making and customer-centric thinking.
Requirements
- 5–8 years’ related work experience in Digital Product Management / Product Ownership, ideally within financial services or a regulated industry.
- Familiar with Agile delivery frameworks, digital customer journeys, B2C and B2B platforms, and partner integrations.
- Expert knowledge in digital product lifecycle management, backlog prioritisation, conversion optimisation, and performance analytics.
- Compliance with regulatory, privacy, and security requirements relevant to digital and insurance/financial services environments.
- Strong soft skills including stakeholder engagement, collaboration, communication, and problem solving; demonstrates customer-first thinking, accountability, continuous improvement, and data-led decision making aligned to WeCare values.
