About the Role

Redion is a multinational travel insurance leader seeking a Project Manager to lead IT and business projects, ensuring timely delivery, governance, and stakeholder alignment. This role will manage projects from initiation to completion, optimize resource allocation, track risks, and ensure compliance with PMO best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead collaboration with product development teams to create innovative and competitive travel insurance products for Australian travellers.
  • Provide senior-level actuarial support during the development of products for the Australian market.
  • Analyze and propose strategic adjustments to existing products based on performance and market conditions in Australia.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between IT, business stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings and communicate project status, risks, and dependencies.
  • Ensure stakeholder expectations are managed effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify potential project risks and issues, developing mitigation strategies.
  • Track and escalate critical risks to leadership with actionable recommendations.
  • Maintain a risk and issue log, ensuring proactive resolution.
  • Ensure projects adhere to PMO governance standards (methodologies, templates, documentation).
  • Provide weekly and monthly progress reports to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and process improvements.
  • Apply Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies based on project needs.
  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) for Agile projects.
  • Ensure project teams follow structured delivery processes for smooth execution.
  • Track project costs, budget variance, and financial forecasting to ensure cost control.
  • Work with IT and business teams to optimize resource allocation for project efficiency.
  • Ensure projects stay within defined budget constraints without compromising quality.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid methodologies
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet)
  • Strong knowledge of PMO governance & reporting standards
  • Ability to manage cross-functional teams and engage with IT/business stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and presentation skills
  • Experience working with third-party vendors and external partners
  • Understanding of risk management frameworks (RAID logs, escalation processes)
  • Experience with project budgeting & financial tracking
  • Familiarity with IT systems & software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Understanding of business transformation & change management principles
