About the Role

Gibson Dunn is a leading global law firm. The Legal Executive Assistant will support a group of partners in New York, providing administrative support and practice coordination within the Legal Administrative Services Department.

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive support as part of a team of Executive Assistants to a group of partners in our Litigation Practice Group.
  • Collaborate closely with assigned partners to effectively manage day-to-day coordination of the partner’s respective practices.
  • Manage a broad range of complex administrative duties, such as scheduling meetings, preparing reports and meeting materials, furnishing information, responding to routine correspondence, assisting with technical support, processing expense reports, time entry and answering telephone calls.
  • Manage client onboarding, billing and relationship management activities.
  • Organize complex domestic/international travel arrangements, with detailed itineraries both personal and professional. Includes coordinating flights, hotel accommodations, car service, visas, dining reservations, etc.
  • Provide back-up support to other Legal Assistants as needed.
  • Liaise with other firm departments and key stakeholders to complete tasks effectively and efficiently.

Requirements

  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to quickly learn and utilize industry specific computer applications.
  • Consistent attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication and people skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, and to delegate and manage resources effectively.
  • Exhibit high degree of initiative and critical-thinking skills in exercising independent judgment and making decisions in managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, detail-oriented work environment.
  • High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated instances of taking initiative.
  • Creative thinker who is resourceful and anticipatory of the needs of their assignments.
  • Ability to be in the office at least 4 days a week, with flexibility and commitment to working overtime as required.

Salary/Compensations

  • $100,000 to $135,000
