About the Role

Seminole Hard Rock Support Services is seeking a dedicated professional to focus on business inclusion and community engagement. This role will support enterprise-wide procurement objectives by helping diverse and local suppliers access opportunities, navigate requirements, and participate effectively in sourcing activities. The position serves as a centralized resource for outreach, vendor readiness, spend tracking, reporting, and recommendations to advance business inclusion.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with diverse, Tribal, local, and community-based business organizations.
  • Assist vendors with corporate registration, onboarding, and access to sourcing opportunities.
  • Guide businesses through applicable certification processes.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to support supplier inclusion goals and sourcing strategies.
  • Participate in spend categorization and track supplier spend by business classification, category, property, and initiative.
  • Identify opportunities to increase qualified participation from diverse, Tribal, and local suppliers.
  • Provide reporting, recommendations, and updates on outreach activity, supplier readiness, participation, and spend performance.
  • Coordinate informational sessions, supplier outreach events, and business readiness forums.
  • Build partnerships with chambers of commerce, Tribal business organizations, minority business councils, women’s business organizations, veteran business groups, and local advocacy organizations.
  • Maintain regular communication with business and community stakeholders.
  • Gather feedback from suppliers and stakeholders to improve access, readiness, communication, and participation.
  • Provide step-by-step support for corporate vendor registration and supplier onboarding.
  • Develop clear guides, checklists, and readiness materials for suppliers.
  • Host workshops or information sessions on qualifying as diverse business enterprises.
  • Offer targeted assistance to suppliers needing support with corporate requirements or business opportunities.
  • Utilize systems to monitor supplier spend by business classification, category, property, and initiative.
  • Create recurring reports on spend distribution, participation trends, vendor readiness, outreach activity, and opportunity pipelines.
  • Provide updates to leadership and stakeholders to support transparency and decision-making.
  • Analyze data to identify participation gaps and development opportunities.
  • Recommend strategies to increase qualified diverse, Tribal, and local supplier participation.
  • Create structured pathways for suppliers to understand requirements, access opportunities, and become more competitive.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years combined experience in procurement, supplier diversity, vendor management, community engagement, or business development.
  • Working knowledge of purchasing policies, sourcing practices, supplier onboarding, and vendor compliance requirements.
  • Understanding of hospitality, gaming, entertainment, corporate support services, or other highly regulated business environments.
  • Knowledge of certification processes for Minority, Women-Owned, Service-Disabled Veteran, Tribal, and Local Business Enterprises.
  • Strong relationship-building, organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to track, analyze, summarize, and report supplier participation and spend data for leadership review.
  • Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing.
  • Comprehend and use technical or professional language to communicate complex ideas.
  • Ability to effectively pitch and present information in one-on-one and group situations.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Ability to move throughout the building (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear.
  • Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders.
  • Ability to occasionally move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 10 pounds.
  • Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion.
