About the Role
This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with senior leadership and General Counsel, gaining exposure to the legal and operational matters of a large, multi-state automotive dealership organization. The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and paralegal support, playing an important role in the company's legal, compliance, corporate, and operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Manage and complete corporate filings and maintain corporate records.
- Assist with insurance claims and related documentation.
- Support regulatory and compliance matters across multiple dealerships and states.
- Assist with manufacturer agreements and dealership-related legal matters.
- Respond to subpoenas and other document requests.
- Assist with pre-litigation customer and employee matters.
- Draft and prepare contracts, correspondence, legal documents, and other business materials.
- Gather, review, organize, and prepare documents for attorney review.
- Conduct limited legal and factual research.
- Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems.
- Track legal matters, deadlines, projects, and follow-up items.
- Maintain task lists, calendars, and important legal and corporate deadlines.
- Coordinate with dealership personnel, management, outside counsel, insurance representatives, and other business partners.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or Legal Administrative Assistant required.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential matters.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of assignments.
