About the Role
Weston & Sampson is seeking a motivated and driven Project Engineer to perform highly skilled engineering and design work supporting renewable energy projects. This role will contribute to the permitting, design, and construction phases of renewable energy development.
Responsibilities
- Perform site civil, land development, stormwater, and utility designs and specifications for solar or other renewable energy projects, including construction observation or administration.
- Prepare and submit permit applications to support project development for municipal and private clients.
- Conduct presentations at public hearings to support permit applications for land use projects.
- Work in a multidisciplinary team, manage multiple projects, coordinate disciplines, and collaborate with staff members.
Requirements
- BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent) required; MS preferred.
- PE certification preferred.
- 4 to 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Hydro CAD and other stormwater modeling software.
- Strong skill set with basic AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organizational and time management skills required.
- Some travel required for client meetings and project sites.
- Experience on renewable energy projects is a plus.
- Possess high ethical standards and commitment to producing high-quality work with teamwork, respect, and integrity.
- A valid driver’s license is required.
