About the Role

We're looking for a Compliance Officer to join our Risk and Compliance team on a fixed-term 12 Month contract and play a key role in supporting Pepper's compliance framework across Australia and New Zealand. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, regulated environment, partnering with stakeholders across the business and helping ensure we meet our regulatory obligations while delivering great customer outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct compliance monitoring activities across the business.
  • Assist with compliance deep-dives, investigations and thematic reviews.
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide compliance advice, reporting and recommendations to business leaders.
  • Support the maintenance and enhancement of Pepper's compliance framework.
  • Assist with policy, procedure and register reviews.
  • Prepare compliance reporting, including executive and governance reporting.
  • Promote a strong culture of compliance across the organisation.

Requirements

  • Experience in compliance, quality assurance or a regulatory-focused role within financial services.
  • Understand the Australian financial services regulatory environment and consumer lending obligations.
  • Demonstrate experience conducting monitoring, reviews or assurance activities.
  • Write clear and concise reports, policies and procedures.
  • Analyse complex information and translate it into practical recommendations.
  • Build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Enjoy working collaboratively and contributing to a high-performing team.
