About the Role

Global Industrial is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This role involves managing high-volume accounts payable, investigating discrepancies, and contributing to month-end close processes. The ideal candidate will understand the impact of AP transactions on financial statements and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Investigate discrepancies, identify root causes, and drive timely resolutions in a high-volume accounts payable environment.
• Manage competing priorities, adapt to changing business needs, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Identify and resolve issues, evaluate workflow challenges, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the accounts payable function.
• Ensure accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting of accounts payable transactions.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and improve operational effectiveness.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a high-volume accounts payable environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Computer experience with Excel, including fast number data input.
• Knowledge of using V Lookups in Excel.
• Extremely organized with strong follow-up skills.
• Ability to multi-task to work on multiple entities at once.
• Ability to work in a small team-oriented/client-focused environment.
• Strong oral communication skills.
