About the Role
The Guest Services Manager is responsible for the overall management of all ushers, ticket takers, and greeters at the venue. This role involves ensuring maximum guest satisfaction through effective staff supervision and complaint resolution.
Responsibilities
- Interviews, selects, trains, supervises, counsels, and disciplines usher staff.
- Organizes and conducts meetings and communicates pertinent information to staff.
- Schedules and directs staff in their work assignments.
- Reviews and evaluates the department, recommending and implementing new operational policies and procedures.
- Investigates and resolves all guest complaints.
- Interacts positively with guests to maintain guest loyalty.
- Moves throughout the venue to provide information and respond to guest inquiries.
- Ensures complete guest satisfaction by verifying that appropriate changes were made to resolve guest problems.
- Participates in the venue’s sustainability program, including waste sorting, recycling, and educating fans.
- Partners with team members to close the venue, which may include collecting recyclables and storing event equipment.
- Works with the scheduling payroll administrator to ensure staffing needs are met.
- Budgets appropriately for each show's needs to meet operating goals.
- Manages operational processes within the annual facility budget.
Requirements
- Combination of 3-5 years’ experience in a comparable role.
- At least 2 years of experience in Guest Service and communications.
- Position requires constant walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs.+, and occasional sitting.
Skills
- Strong computer skills in Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other related computer programs.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Acute sense of judgment, tact and diplomacy.
