About the Role

The Event Specialist supports the Events team and collaborates with hotel group clients to ensure successful event execution, managing housing and billing from pre-arrival through departure.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the housing and billing contact for hotel group clients from pre-arrival through departure.
  • Process reservation requests, changes, and cancellations.
  • Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room types, and verify availability and rates.
  • Accommodate and document special requests.
  • Set up billing accounts in accordance with accounting policies.
  • Track event deposits, including group advance deposits and final payments.
  • Prepare Preliminary Group Bills and Final Group Bills.
  • Prepare, review, and issue bills, invoices, and account statements per company procedures.
  • Provide excellent service to internal and external customers.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure successful group events from pre-arrival through final billing.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Aptitude for self-motivation.
  • A can-do attitude and a hands-on approach.
  • Flexible schedule with the ability to work days, nights, holidays, and weekends based on hotel demands.
