About the Role
As a Technical Deployment Lead on the Claude Agentic Solutions team, you will lead the delivery of custom AI agent solutions for enterprise customers in highly regulated industries. You'll own high-value engagements where we collaborate directly with customers to build and deploy agents into their most critical business processes. This is a founding team role where you will help build technical playbooks and define processes for scaling this emerging motion. You will champion our mission, ensure world-class delivery, and provide insights back to product and research teams.
Responsibilities
- Own the technical delivery plan for each engagement, structuring SOWs with clear scope, milestones, dependencies, success criteria, and value hypotheses.
- Translate customer business objectives into a sequenced roadmap for Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs).
- Lead technical discovery, mapping customer workflows, identifying constraints, defining MVP scope, and shaping solution architecture.
- Run day-to-day engineering execution, driving delivery across Anthropic and customer teams, keeping progress unblocked, and making real-time trade-offs.
- Own product scoping for field engagements, defining the MVP, authoring requirements documentation, prioritizing the backlog, and managing scope.
- Own the customer relationship throughout delivery, leading executive briefings, managing stakeholder communications, and representing Anthropic's technical credibility.
- Own value measurement and ROI, defining impact hypotheses, setting baselines and KPIs, running pre- and post-deployment measurement, and reporting outcomes.
- Codify reusable delivery assets by building solution patterns, evaluation frameworks, and technical playbooks.
- Navigate enterprise and regulatory complexity, including security reviews, legal approvals, procurement processes, compliance requirements, and organizational dynamics.
- Manage scope and change, handling evolving requirements, setting expectations, negotiating contract modifications, and identifying risks.
- Run delivery operations, including sprint ceremonies, milestone reviews, and progress reporting.
- Travel to customer sites to build relationships, unblock delivery, and accelerate adoption (25–50% expected).
Requirements
- Led AI/ML engagements/deployments as a founder, data scientist, engineer, researcher, or in a professional services or consulting role.
- Delivered AI, ML, or LLM-based agentic solutions into production, understanding solution patterns, integration approaches, and real-world issues.
- Experience in a specialized vertical (e.g., financial services, life sciences, pharmaceutical, retail, mining, agriculture).
- Ability to lead architecture discussions with engineering stakeholders, evaluate technical trade-offs, and pressure-test technical decisions.
- Track record of delivering complex, high-stakes technical projects for enterprise clients with tight coordination and fast decision-making, ideally in regulated industries.
- Executive presence with credibility to represent Anthropic to senior leaders in high-stakes environments.
- Ability to thrive in ambiguity and bring structure where none exists.

- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Field of study relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience.
- Minimum years of experience will correlate with internal job level requirements.
