About the Role

Material Handlers are responsible for the movement and shipping of materials from receiving to outbound shipments, performing inventory transactions, and retrieving data using various inventory control systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse and supporting the timely delivery of essential IV solutions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate material verification and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with training and certification for assigned areas.
• Complete area checklists as needed.
• Control material damage and inspect trailers before loading/unloading.
• Report any trailer abnormalities to the appropriate Specialist or Supervisor.
• Identify and correct inventory discrepancies.
• Perform pack and mark audits to ensure quality of incoming commodities and drugs.
• Assist personnel in resolving material discrepancies.
• Maintain safe operation of all equipment and follow area safety guidelines.
• Report safety-related items to the Specialist or Supervisor.
• Perform manual operations including de-palletizing, debagging, labeling, and material movement.
• Unload raw materials from trucks and railcars and locate them appropriately.
• Package and palletize commodities and subassemblies for export shipments.
• Record data and verification on work orders, finished goods orders, picks, and moves.
• Safely and effectively operate material handling equipment including fork trucks, battery changing equipment, vacu-hoist, stretch wrapping machine, taping machine, palletizer, yard tractor, bailer, banding equipment, and tank farm pumping equipment.
• Interact directly with external customers daily, including carriers and truck drivers.
• Respond timely to production schedule changes and customer needs to prevent operational downtime.
• Participate in departmental huddles and area 5S programs.
• Participate in area continuous improvements, including standard work instructions.
• Attend company-facilitated training.
• Adhere to cGMP guidelines, SOPs, plant policies, and rules.
• Provide assistance, training, and back-up support to related Materials Management jobs.
• Observe all Federal and State Motor Carrier and plant safety rules and regulations.
• Report any incident or injury immediately to the Specialist or Supervisor.
• Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Must be able to obtain fork truck license and operate required material handling equipment.
• Must be able to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Must have demonstrated knowledge of inventory control systems and Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel, outlook).
• Must be able to obtain Class A Texas operator’s license.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Able to work overtime and quickly adjust to priority changes.
• Must be able to operate fork truck in confined areas with other equipment and under various weather conditions.
