About the Role

The Texas Democratic Party is seeking Deputy GOTV Directors to support the Texas Together 2026 Coordinated Campaign. This role involves managing and developing a team to execute a large-scale voter contact effort, troubleshoot issues, and ensure strategic decisions are informed by field feedback. The position runs from August 17 to November 15, 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and support Regional GOTV Directors through one-on-ones, coaching, and feedback.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, learning, and support.
  • Support Regional GOTV Directors in establishing strong regional culture.
  • Hold organizers accountable for meeting voter contact, volunteer recruitment, and volunteer leadership goals.
  • Maintain strong communication structures, including daily check-ins, team chats, reporting channels, and shared calendars.
  • Create and facilitate GOTV trainings for staff and volunteers.
  • Draft and distribute one-pagers, guides, and written reference resources for staff.
  • Share campaign priorities, strategic shifts, and plans with organizers.
  • Respond quickly to challenges to ensure organizing programs run effectively.
  • Support the development of reporting structures and analyze reports to recommend strategic actions.

Requirements

  • Commitment to the Texas Democrats mission, values, goals, and objectives.
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a team.
  • At least 3 cycles of organizing experience on a campaign, at a union, or related.
  • Administrative experience in Votebuilder, including account creation and script management.
  • Clear written communication skills.
  • Access to a reliable car and driver's license.
  • Access to a phone and laptop computer.
  • Excellent mastery of systems like Google Suite, Excel, and online databases.
