About the Role

We are seeking a creative problem solver with experience in finance and consulting to join our Finance Transformation team. As a Manager, you will analyze financial data, develop strategies, and present findings to clients, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. You will help clients optimize their finance functions by providing business advisory services focused on operational efficiency and strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial data, develop strategies, and present findings to clients.
  • Work closely with consultants and clients to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Enhance the effectiveness of the finance and operations function by bringing broad capabilities and insights.
  • Provide business advisory services to achieve measurable benefits in operational efficiency and strategic decision making.
  • Lead the delivery of Finance Transformation engagements, advising clients on internal finance strategy, operating models, and financial processes.
  • Assist in managing the financial aspects of engagements, including staffing, budget tracking, and issue communication.
  • Participate in business development initiatives.
  • Build strong internal relationships within Consulting and across other services.
  • Supervise, coach, and mentor staff members.
  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff.
  • Contribute to people initiatives such as recruiting, retaining, and training Finance Transformation professionals.
  • Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills and knowledge.
  • Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures.
  • Utilize knowledge and experience to provide innovative solutions to clients and produce insightful thought leadership.
  • Actively contribute to improving operational efficiency and ensuring high quality on projects and internal initiatives.
  • Lead teams (or parts of teams) on projects, anticipating and identifying risks, and escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Establish, maintain, and strengthen client relationships as a trusted business advisor.
  • Identify potential business opportunities for EY.
  • Help create a positive learning culture and actively coach and counsel junior team members.

Requirements

  • Experience in finance and consulting.
  • Experience managing staff on multiple projects and providing direction to team members.
  • Strong academic record including a bachelor's degree.
  • Approximately a minimum of 7 years’ experience in industry or with a recognized consulting firm.
  • Experience in delivering projects that cover the full life cycle of assessment, design and implementation support.
  • Travel may be required for this role.
