About the Role

The Litigation Services Senior Coordinator is an integral part of Latham’s Litigation Services team, responsible for performing general litigation research and support functions, assisting in active litigation case management, docketing contested matters, publishing the firmwide litigation department calendar, monitoring case status, and ensuring timely retrieval of decisions and orders.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting legal research regarding court rules, procedures, and judicial preferences using various databases.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documents for conformity with court rules and procedures.
  • Preparing procedural road maps for upcoming filings.
  • Leveraging technology to streamline case monitoring and distribution in state and federal courts.
  • Developing a repository of judicial experience, updating it with prior templates, docket sheets, and transcripts.
  • Protecting and maintaining highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and proprietary information.

Requirements

  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on detail.
  • Display the ability to understand legal terminology, court procedures, and litigation processes to accurately calendar related events.
  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail to ensure all calendar entries are accurate and no deadlines are missed.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a law firm/Docket/Calendar/Litigation Services Department.
