About the Role
Black & McDonald’s Southern Ontario Pullman Shared Services team is growing! This position is for an analytical and collaborative professional searching for the opportunity to build a solid foundation for their career. The Project Analyst will analyze project costs, organize job cost review meetings, assist with forecasts, prepare customer invoices, and reconcile purchase orders and payments.
Responsibilities
- Analyze project costs and identify variances between budget, forecast and actual expenditures
- Organize and attend job cost review meetings with project management team
- Assist with monthly job forecast updates and entering productivity data
- Prepare and issue accurate customer invoices, follow up on client approvals
- Review and assist with the reconciliation of purchase orders
- Code and reconcile payments within JD Edwards
- Prepare documentation to support Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable activities
- Demonstrate a self-starting approach with a high level of accuracy
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
- 1–3 years’ experience in billing, project accounting or similar accounting roles including exposure to accounting cycle, financial reporting, billing, and account reconciliations
- Basic understanding of end-to-end financial processes
- Criminal Background Check and Professional Reference Check will be required
- Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada
