About the Role
Support the successful delivery of technical security design projects across the EMEA region by developing security solutions, maintaining design standards, managing project documentation, and contributing to high-quality consultancy services. This role ensures security systems are designed effectively, project milestones are met, and client requirements are delivered in line with standards, regulations, and design criteria.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to support the successful delivery of technical security design projects across the EMEA region.
- Coordinate drawing revisions, project updates, and design-related activities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate and support project design handovers to ensure smooth transition between project phases.
- Maintain design documentation and document control processes in line with design management requirements.
- Compile project metrics and tracking information to support measurable design delivery and reporting.
- Drive and coordinate design workgroups, managing design-related matters and supporting collaborative decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with established physical security baselines, standards, and design criteria.
- Deliver or support security consultancy services in accordance with client requirements, regulations, and industry standards.
- Prepare and present high-quality technical reports, technology studies, cost analyses, and tender information to support procurement activities.
- Lead and facilitate client-facing meetings and workshops, ensuring clear outcomes, documented actions, and effective follow-up.
- Assess security risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures using recognised risk assessment methodologies.
- Communicate technical, strategic, and design information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through reports, submissions, and presentations.
- Manage client expectations by providing regular updates and ensuring requirements are understood and addressed throughout project delivery.
- Protect confidential client information with the highest levels of professionalism and discretion.
- Support project delivery against agreed milestones while managing multiple concurrent projects.
Requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience working with IP video and access-controlled enterprise security systems.
- Experience in security systems design and telecommunications.
- Essential experience using CAD and Bluebeam, together with an understanding of BIM.
- Experience with platforms including Lenel, Genetec, AMAG, Software House, Milestone and Avigilon.
- Knowledge of EN and BS standards relating to security design and installation.
- Understanding of physical security measures including gates, fencing, and barriers.
- Strong understanding of door ironmongery.
- Experience within the data centre sector would be advantageous.
Skills
- Security systems design expertise.
- Technical knowledge of enterprise IP video and access control solutions.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Competence in CAD, Bluebeam, and BIM-related environments.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
- Ability to engage effectively with internal stakeholders, business leaders, and client representatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information to varied audiences.
- Experience leading meetings, workshops, and collaborative design discussions.
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritise competing demands.
- Strong focus on milestone delivery and project coordination.
- Capability to work independently and remain effective with minimal supervision.
