About the Role

Assist the Shop Foreman with diagnosing and repairing equipment. This role requires mechanical knowledge and skills to ensure equipment is functioning correctly and safely.

Responsibilities

• Work on equipment for diagnosing and repair
• Enforce safety requirements within the shop area
• Keep shop area tidy and safe
• Communicate with customers, truck drivers, and employees regarding shipments and deliveries
• Segregate and label equipment by job name/number upon receipt
• Operate a forklift to load and unload equipment
• Assist Road Technicians at customer sites when required
• Perform Firewatch duties when required

Requirements

• Must have mechanical knowledge and skills
• Must be able to operate a forklift
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must supply own basic hand tools
• Must pass background test, physical, and drug test prior to hire
• Advancement to Road Technician requires a clean driver's license
