About the Role
As a Maintenance Electrical Technician I, you will be part of a team crafting transformers & power supplies destined for military and industrial products. You will perform electrical troubleshooting and repair, routine maintenance, and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facilities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, cross-functional, safety-focused, and capable of working independently and as a team to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and building systems
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues and conditions
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repairs, and inspections
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed
- Assist with facility upgrades, installations, and improvement projects
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized
- Help with plowing, shoveling, mowing, and building crates
- Start and stop heating and air conditioning units
- Work independently
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of electricity and power distribution
- Mechanical skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb for extended periods
- Ability to use hands and arms to handle, feel, reach
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
- Valid NYS Driver License
