About the Role

The Department of Clinical Laboratories at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Lead Technologist to perform clinical laboratory procedures, train personnel, and manage laboratory operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations.
  • Function as the Lead Technologist.
  • Adhere to departmental, hospital, and government regulations.
  • Train personnel in technical methodologies and interpretation of results.
  • Maintain laboratory inventory and statistics.
  • Assign appropriate staff to assure a smooth workflow.
  • Assist in coordinating administrative operations for the laboratory.
  • Demonstrate flexibility as duties are not limited to the above description.

Requirements
