About the Role

The Department of Clinical Laboratories at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an Assistant Supervisor / TH Clinical Laboratory Technologist 1, Chemistry and Immunology to maintain compliance, oversee laboratory operations, and ensure timely testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with departmental, hospital and regulatory requirements.
• Function as Assistant Supervisor responsible for the operation of a laboratory.
• Oversee day to day laboratory operations, review quality control, performance improvement activities.
• Assure timely performance of laboratory testing procedures.
• Train personnel in technical methodologist and interpretation of result.
• Record and archive operation test and QC results.
• Maintain inventory and statistics.
• Schedule and assign staff to specific job functions.
• Assist in coordinating administrative operations for the laboratories.

Requirements

• Assistant Supervisor role requires oversight of laboratory operations.
