About the Role
This role assists the Health and Wellness Manager, ensuring residents of the retirement residence enjoy a high quality of life. The position focuses on resident care, well-being monitoring, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Ensure residents receive care to meet their needs and promote wellness.
- Monitor the well-being of residents not requiring care.
- Complete necessary paperwork for resident admission and discharge, and ongoing documentation.
- Utilize the nursing process (assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating) to provide high-quality nursing care.
- Involve residents and/or their families in care-related decisions where appropriate.
- Assist in hiring, training, and supervising members of the Resident Care Team.
Requirements
- Valid Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses in your province.
- Current first aid and CPR certification.
- Strong organizational and assessment skills.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation.
- Computer skills.
- Training in dementia care.
