About the Role

Under the supervision of the Manager of Business Analysis, the Business Analyst II discovers, synthesizes, and analyzes information to elicit business needs, document requirements, devise strategies and solutions, and implement changes to improve business outcomes for small to medium-sized projects or segments of large projects.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders and end users to identify, understand, and document business and technical processes and requirements.
  • Analyze and prioritize current processes.
  • Conduct gap analyses.
  • Manage projects ensuring end-to-end successful completion to meet business goals, including creating and managing project plans, scope, RAID logs, and budgets.
  • Communicate project status updates.
  • Coordinate with vendors and partners for successful end-to-end project delivery.
  • Compile detailed cutover plans for launch activities.
  • Develop business cases, functional and non-functional requirements, feasibility studies, and scope solutions for new business processes and technical applications.
  • Assess proposed solutions to determine business fit, identify gaps and shortcomings, and determine necessary workarounds or changes.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and users.
  • Support stakeholder use of existing technology solutions.
  • Create test plans, develop test cases, and conduct/coordinate business acceptance and regression testing.
  • Assist in the development of training materials and policy/procedure manuals.
  • Focus on building and refining BA skills to work independently on end-to-end projects.
  • Resolve production support requests.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Perform tasks after hours, on weekends, and as required.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of work experience in the software development life cycle.
  • At least 2 years of experience leveraging knowledge areas, competencies, and techniques described in the IIBA Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK).
  • Experience with Business Acceptance test planning, test case development, and test execution.
  • Experience working within project management practices described in the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
  • Experience with data analysis.
  • Excellent MS Office skills including Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
