About the Role
The Coordinator, Logistics will maintain inventory health across the North American distribution network and coordinate domestic transportation between manufacturers, distribution centres, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners. This role is key to ensuring inventory meets customer demand while optimizing transportation costs and meeting delivery time SLAs.
Responsibilities
- Deliver weekly inventory reconciliation across all distribution centres, identifying, investigating, and resolving inventory discrepancies, shipment variances, damages, and claims.
- Plan, schedule, and execute full truckload (FTL) and less-than-truckload (LTL) shipments between manufacturers, distribution centres, and 3PL facilities.
- Coordinate transportation schedules with carriers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely pickups and deliveries.
- Track shipments from origin to destination, proactively communicating delays and resolving transportation issues.
- Optimize truckload utilization and shipment consolidation to improve transportation efficiency and reduce freight costs.
- Maintain strong relationships with carriers and logistics providers while monitoring service performance and ensuring SLAs are met.
- Source, onboard, and manage carrier partners to expand transportation capacity while maintaining competitive freight rates.
- Process and manage inventory transfers between 3PLs, 4PLs, and distribution centres while ensuring inventory accuracy and timely execution.
- Maintain accurate transportation, inventory, and shipment data across ERP, WMS, and other operational systems.
- Collaborate with Merchandising, Demand Planning, Customer Experience, Warehouse Operations, and Finance to analyze performance, identify trends, align inventory positioning, and recommend process improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline logistics processes, improve inventory visibility, and automate manual workflows.
- Assist with special logistics projects and network optimization initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or operations, preferably within an e-commerce or retail environment.
- Previous experience coordinating domestic transportation, including truckload (FTL) and LTL shipments as well as working with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, freight brokers, and warehouse partners.
- Working knowledge of inventory management, warehouse operations, and transportation processes.
- Experience using ERP, WMS, TMS, or inventory management systems; ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Strong analytical and attention to detail skills with the ability to identify trends, investigate discrepancies, and solve operational issues with minimal support.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable taking ownership of day-to-day logistics operations while continuously seeking process improvements.
- Advanced proficiency with Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
