About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily Quality Clinic activities including defect review, product evaluation, and nonconformance disposition.
  • Prioritize and coordinate cross-functional actions to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Conduct structured root cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive actions using 8D, DMAIC, Ishikawa, PFMEA, and 5‑Why methodologies.
  • Maintain accurate defect records, metrics, and quality documentation in accordance with QMS requirements.
  • Analyze quality data (DPPM, escape rates, defect trends) and develop targeted improvement plans.
  • Support supplier quality efforts related to incoming inspection, supplier defects, and SCAR follow-up.
  • Implement containment actions for escapes, suspect lots, and high-risk nonconformities.
  • Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and operations leadership to improve processes and reduce variation.
  • Provide coaching on quality standards, inspection requirements, and best practices.
  • Participate in internal audits, customer/regulatory audits, and AS9100 compliance activities.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards such as AS9100 and NADCAP.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and root cause methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and inspection data.
  • Ability to work onsite in a fast-paced production environment.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
