About the Role
Encompasses the application of scientific and technological principles concerned with a continuous or periodic system of operations or activities in the production of manufactured products. Use the principles and theories of science, engineering, and mathematics to provide technical support for manufacturing processes. Work on assignments that are complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other personnel.
Responsibilities
- Support equipment setup, calibration, and routine maintenance for production operations
- Support process engineering improvements to maximize equipment uptime and efficiency
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during all manufacturing activities
- Maintain accurate documentation for processes, including SOPs, training materials, and production records
- Participate in audits and inspections to verify compliance and identify improvement opportunities
- Track production schedules and contribute to planning activities
- Monitor product quality and report issues; assist in troubleshooting and corrective actions
- Collaborate on process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Support implementation of engineering changes and new technologies
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to meet project goals
- Assist in training operators on new or updated procedures
- Communicate effectively across departments to ensure smooth workflow
- Participate in special projects and developmental programs as assigned
- Adapt to evolving priorities and take on new tasks as business needs change
Requirements
- AS in Mechanical, Electrical, or other Engineering discipline required or equivalent manufacturing experience (optics preferred)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Basic proficiency with PC tools and computer software.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and learning new technologies.
- Must be able to lead a small group through tasks

- $59,029.00 - $81,165.00
