About the Role

The Assistant General Manager will support the Store Manager in organizing and operating the store, stepping in for the General Manager when necessary. This role involves overseeing daily responsibilities, managing staff, and providing consistent leadership aligned with END. values.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the store manager in the operating manner of their choice, exhibiting continuity in all operations.
  • Be prepared to assist with and take over full managerial tasks as necessary.
  • Understand the complete running of Store Operations, including the processes behind all services and procedures.
  • Ensure the team is knowledgeable about the industry and END. products.
  • Lead the team in service excellence through exemplary service techniques.
  • Drive store sales by motivating the team to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Identify and communicate opportunities for performance improvement to the Store Manager.
  • Maintain store image according to business standards through floor walks, product awareness, merchandising, stock replenishment, and VM guidelines.
  • Support the Store Manager in managing wage to sales budget, shrinkage, and revenue.
  • Maintain workplace safety and provide a healthy environment for staff and customers.

Requirements

  • Good knowledge and comprehensive understanding of processes, procedures, and systems used across the team and their interrelation with other teams.
  • Accountable for delivering assigned tasks within departmental projects for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to plan, schedule, and monitor work of self and others to meet deadlines.
  • Good understanding of team interaction and collaboration with other departments.
  • Management responsibility for motivating team members and ensuring high-quality service and performance.
  • Ability to set objectives, coach employees, and review performance.
  • Make judgments based on best practices and previous experience.
  • Ability to remove complexity and focus on priorities.
  • Assess the validity of previous experiences and evaluate options under non-standard circumstances.

  • Sound communication and diplomacy skills for exchanging complex information.
  • Ability to exchange ideas and information clearly, concisely, and straightforwardly.

  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
