About the Role
The Department of Clinical Laboratories at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking an hourly/per diem Clinical Lab Technologist / TH Clinical Laboratory Technologist 3, Hematology/Urinalysis.
Responsibilities
- Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations, and any other tests or procedures conducted by the Chemistry and Hematology Laboratories.
- Demonstrate flexibility and collaboration to perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as needed and/or required.
Requirements
- Have working knowledge of routine instrumentation and methodology used in Clinical Hematology and Chemistry.
- Specific familiarization with Blood Gases, Olympus, and Architect instruments preferred.
- Have good knowledge of quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting on Chemistry and Hematology methodologies and instruments.
