About the Role

Superior Walls of Upstate New York is seeking dependable, hardworking full-time Production Workers to join our team in a fast-paced precast concrete manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for individuals with construction, concrete, fabrication, or manufacturing experience who take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy hands-on work.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the manufacturing of insulated precast concrete wall systems.
  • Preparing, cleaning, assembling, and setting up forms used to manufacture insulated concrete walls.
  • Measuring, cutting, bending, tying, and positioning rebar assemblies.
  • Measuring, cutting, and installing EPS (Styrofoam) insulation within wall forms.
  • Installing lifting hardware, connection hardware, and other components within forms.
  • Preparing forms and materials for concrete placement.
  • Assisting with concrete placement, finishing, patching, and repairs.
  • Using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively.
  • Operating forklifts, overhead cranes, and other equipment when trained and authorized.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Following established production procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily production goals.
  • Performing other construction, fabrication, and production duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Prior experience with precast or cast-in-place concrete is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
  • A strong construction aptitude, mechanical ability, attention to detail, and willingness to work as part of a team are essential.
  • The ability to accurately read and use a tape measure.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Mechanical aptitude and the ability to safely operate tools and equipment.
  • Previous concrete, construction, manufacturing, or fabrication experience.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work.
  • The ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, reach, and work for extended periods.
  • The ability and willingness to work outdoors and in a fast-paced production environment.
  • A strong commitment to workplace safety.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Skills

  • Concrete preparation, pouring, finishing, patching, and repairs
  • Rebar fabrication, including cutting, bending, tying, and assembly
  • Basic carpentry and formwork
  • Operating forklifts and/or overhead cranes
  • Operating power tools and construction or fabrication equipment
  • Working with precast or cast-in-place concrete products
  • Reading and working from production drawings or construction plans
  • Reading production drawings or blueprints
  • Bilingual skills
