About the Role
The Production Operations Supervisor will manage production operations, ensuring safe and efficient facility operations consistent with company processes and procedures in an FDA-regulated industry. This role involves managing the workforce, overseeing training, analyzing reports and metrics, and providing necessary resources for high-quality product output.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, manage, direct, and coordinate overall activities of the plant and employees to ensure compliance and alignment with leadership.
- Develop and execute standard operating procedures, guidelines, and policy to drive day-to-day operations while holding employees accountable.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives to increase quality, efficiency, and safety.
- Establish jobs or tasks with complete instructions, technical specifications, and environmental compliance policies.
- Perform floor walks observing safety concerns, driving safety rules, compliance, and operational performance.
- Hold safety training meetings and perform safety/incident related reporting and documentation.
- Partner with the safety and quality department to assist in environmental projects and testing.
- Become an expert of all Ingredients Plus equipment operation including dry granular conveyance equipment and rail car unloading systems.
- Manage the liquid manufacturing process and supporting infrastructure such as boilers, CIP, pumps, piping, silos, and batching technology.
- Ensure proper handling of food grade products and chemicals.
- Handle day-to-day quality functions including documentation verification, compliance, reviewing and responding to customer inquiries.
- Perform non-conformance reporting, sampling, and third-party testing.
- Maintain critical control point validation.
- Ensure cleaning, sanitization, calibration, and certification of lab equipment per GMP processes.
- Participate in preparation and audits for safety and quality certifications.
- Manage employee time and attendance, including timecards, time off requests, and schedules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of safety, quality, productivity, and plant operations/processes.
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of shipping documentation, BOL, COA, MSDS, DOT rules and Regulations, GMP’s.
- BRC experience preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
- Flexibility in accepting change and an attitude of continuous improvement.

- Ability to solve problems as they arise.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and multiple priorities simultaneously.

- Travel to other Ingredients Plus locations may be required as business needs arise.

Experience Level

- Managing a transloading rail operation highly desired
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent in job related experience preferred

Salary/Compensations
- $75,000 - $95,000 annually
