About the Role
Learn It Systems is seeking Title I ESL Teachers to work in K-8 classrooms, providing high-quality education services in reading and mathematics to students in a small group learning environment. This role involves collaborating with school personnel and parents to support student success.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with school administrators and classroom teachers to identify Title I students.
- Plan and deliver effective instruction in a small group setting.
- Administer pre and post assessments.
- Track student progress and data consistently.
- Manage the classroom effectively.
- Escort students to and from the Title I classroom.
- Provide a safe and positive learning environment.
Requirements
- Active and valid fingerprinting with NYCDOE.
- Experience working with ESL students required.
- Experience working with Title I students is a plus.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
- Ability to navigate school buildings, including stairs.
- Ability to perform frequent standing and raise arms above the head.
- Hand dexterity for typing and data entry.
- Must be presently eligible to work in the United States.
