About the Role
A mature private couple is seeking a part-time or full-time executive housekeeper for their secondary residence on the Upper East Side of New York City. The role requires flexibility, especially when the couple is in residence, and involves maintaining a formal household with high-end furnishings, art, and antiques.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance and deep cleaning of a high-end home when the couple is not in residence.
- Accepting mail or packages when the couple is not in residence.
- Running simple errands when the couple is not in residence.
- Assisting the chef in serving and clean-up at dinner parties or hosting guests when the couple is in residence.
- Working in coordination with the principals to prepare for their arrivals.
- Laundry and ironing when the couple is in residence.
Requirements
- Dog-friendly and comfortable interacting with several small dogs.
- Extremely detail-oriented, meticulous, and professional.
- Up-to-date COVID vaccine (ideal).
- Within commuting distance to the Upper East Side.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a housekeeper in private homes.
