About the Role

The Environmental Services (EVS) Technician is responsible for maintaining the Hospital environment in a clean and safe manner consistent with established standards. This is a float position requiring work in multiple areas on the evening and/or night shift.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans all areas of the hospital by performing routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, and corridors.
  • Utilizes appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedure.
  • Reports to the Manager of Environmental Services.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, understand written documents and write.
  • Ability to read housekeeping schedules and follow oral directions.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision after training.
  • Prior EVS experience in a Healthcare Facility preferred.
  • Strong inter-personal skills are necessary.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • All new hires are required to attend a mandatory three-day orientation at Weeks Medical Center in Lancaster, NH.
