About the Role
The Sr. Financial Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for complex financial processes with material financial impact throughout the Company. This role requires a strong analytical and organized business thinker who can resolve complex problems with minimal supervision, and a desire to understand the PR marketplace to grasp business impacts. The position will consult with all levels of management globally and requires integrity due to the sensitive and confidential nature of the information handled.
Responsibilities
- Review monthly financial summaries and discuss financial highlights with business partners.
- Drive the annual budgeting process and monthly forecasting efforts for assigned organizational groups.
- Educate internal partners on the use and interpretation of financial reports, best practices, financial techniques, and budgeting tools.
- Lead and prepare analyses to aid in decision making and improve profitability and margins.
- Utilize raw data to perform quantitative analysis in evaluating metric performance, operations results, resource usage, and variances.
- Review individual and consolidated plans for critical analysis and administrative review with manager.
- Create in-depth, specific, and flexible value-added reporting for business leads and senior managers.
- Drive the development of profitability models, contingency planning, process alternatives, and variance analysis for assigned organizational groups.
- Apply business and economic assumptions in analysis areas of personnel usage, payroll and fringe benefits, P&L, trending analysis, and cost reduction strategies.
- Consult with internal partners to make informed decisions that meet Company business plans and financial targets.
Requirements
- Minimum 4-7 years of progressive experience in financial analysis, planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Heavy emphasis on operational finance and management reporting experience.
- Familiarity with relational databases and cube logic is helpful.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate variances, uncover root causes, and recommend practical, data-driven solutions.
- Proven ability to navigate ambiguity, synthesize complex data, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Customer service and relationship-building orientation is a must.
- Ability to multi-task is a must, requiring juggling many competing priorities.
- Respect for cultural variances when interacting with global offices.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Proven ability to translate financial information to a non-financial audience is critical.
