About the Role
Options for Community Living, Inc. is seeking a part-time Residential Counselor to provide support services to residents with mental health diagnoses, assisting them in daily living activities and personal development within a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Train and assist residents in daily living activities, including household maintenance.
- Oversee medication maintenance and assist residents in developing self-medication skills.
- Provide case management and follow-up services.
- Provide transportation to residents as needed.
- Conduct household maintenance checks and repairs.
- Conduct fire drills at community residences.
- Notify the Program Supervisor/Program Manager of any medical or psychiatric emergency.
- Participate in the planning and evaluation of individual service plans.
- Monitor service plan objectives on a regular basis.
- Write progress notes on service plans weekly.
- Occasionally attend team meetings and discharge meetings.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Safe driving record.
- Valid auto insurance.
- Access to a vehicle.
