About the Role
The BSA Advisor provides expert guidance and oversight on the organization's Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance program, ensuring adherence to laws and regulations, identifying and mitigating risks, and supporting compliance strategies.
Responsibilities
- Reviews and analyzes transaction activity to detect potential suspicious activity and ensure compliance with BSA/AML regulations.
- Develops and maintains policies and procedures.
- Conducts risk assessments and provides recommendations for process improvements.
- Collaborates with internal teams to deliver training.
- Supports audits and regulatory examinations.
- Prepares detailed reports for senior management.
- Monitors regulatory changes.
- Investigates compliance issues.
- Participates in special projects to enhance the BSA/AML program.
Requirements
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in BSA/AML compliance, audit, or risk management within the financial services industry is required.
- Strong knowledge of BSA/AML regulations, compliance best practices, and risk assessment methodologies is essential.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills are necessary.
