About the Role
This role is for a 1-year fixed-term contract covering maternity leave, focused on building HR processes within the cybersecurity operations of a growing German company. It requires someone who thrives on creating structures rather than maintaining existing ones, and who can coach managers and work with specialists in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Partner with German leaders in Sales and customer support, providing coaching, challenge, and advice.
- Be visible and embedded in Berlin to understand the operational landscape.
- Build and lead People projects end-to-end, including redesigning performance cycles, refreshing benefits, and developing approaches to employee growth.
- Handle complex employee relations cases and conduct issues, collaborating with external counsel when necessary.
- Apply German employment law in daily decisions and engage experts when needed.
Requirements
- People operations experience in a scaling tech environment, with knowledge of what constitutes good practices for companies of 200-400 employees.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the confidence to challenge senior leadership.
- A proven track record of leading People initiatives from design to rollout.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a creative approach to problem-solving.
- Hands-on working knowledge of German employment law.
- Professional German and professional English language proficiency.
- Based in Berlin or the surrounding area.
