About the Role
St. John's Riverside Hospital is seeking an administrative professional to support the Director of Human Resources and the HR Department. This role involves managing correspondence, scheduling, record-keeping, and ensuring timely responses to inquiries and employment verifications. The position is crucial for maintaining efficient HR operations and supporting the hospital's commitment to compassionate, high-quality healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Perform administrative duties for the Director of Human Resources and the Human Resource Department.
- Type and distribute office correspondence, letters, and memoranda.
- Handle routine correspondence independently and draft correspondence for signature.
- Schedule, coordinate, and arrange meetings and appointments, maintaining accurate calendars.
- Maintain accurate files, records, and reports.
- Open, sort, and route mail.
- Receive and screen telephone calls.
- Manage HR phones and ensure timely responses from HR staff.
- Complete employment verifications within a 3-day period.
- Enter personnel data into the HRIS system (Meditech).
- Manage the File Room and ensure proper filing of paperwork.
- Maintain adequate office supplies.
- Coordinate special projects as needed.
- Maintain and update the HR Policy and Procedure Manual.
- Adhere to St. John’s Riverside Hospital attendance policy.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Strong computer and typing skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Outstanding communication skills.
