About the Role

CBS Sports is seeking a Ticker Coordinator to support content production for CBS Sports Network, CBS Sports HQ, and the Golazo Network. This role requires deep sports knowledge, strong writing skills, and sound news judgment to provide timely and relevant information for the ticker.

Responsibilities

• Write and edit news and information in a real-time environment.
• Make editorial decisions on ticker content.
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of on-air content.
• Research original material using statistical tools, databases, social media, and other media outlets.

Requirements

• Excellent working knowledge of and interest in multiple sports, including NFL, college football, college basketball, golf, and soccer.
• Resourceful ability to conduct research.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
• Keen attention to detail.
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment under deadline.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and ensure accuracy.
• Experience with various Internet search approaches.
• Fluency in electronic newsgathering techniques, including quick Internet navigation and social media best practices.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and flexible hours.
