About the Role

Work with a second full-time electrician to develop, operate, and maintain all electrical systems, providing facility event coverage for all electrical needs. Requires working knowledge of computers and extensive knowledge of building electrical codes.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the events manager and show management to fulfill all show electrical requirements.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on the building's electrical system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues as they arise.
  • Monitor electrical inventory and supplies, assisting management with ordering and replenishment.
  • Operate and maintain computerized fire alarm and lighting systems.
  • Monitor monthly generator tests.
  • Coordinate with building engineers to ensure proper HVAC system operation.
  • Install, run, and terminate cables.
  • Comply with OSHA, NFPA, and other applicable safety codes, along with Legends Global job safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduated from an accredited technical school or possess one year of hands-on field experience with electrical equipment.
  • Possess commercial electrical experience.
  • Familiarity with blueprints and local building codes.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work inside and/or outside in varying climate and weather conditions.
  • Ability to work in noisy environments.
  • Knowledge of safe operation of all necessary job tools, including cutters, reamers, drills, gas cutting torches, benders, service carts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
  • Ability to use arms and hands to work, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Possess specific vision abilities for close inspection of electrical systems and repairs.
  • Ability to work in elevated spaces such as off a lift or on a catwalk.
  • Must join local union upon completion of a 90-day probationary period; union membership, fees, and dues are required.
