About the Role

This role sits at the heart of how finance plans, forecasts and decides. You will design the data architecture and AI beneath enterprise performance management, shaping how EPM platforms integrate with modern data platforms and how machine learning and generative AI enhance planning and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end EPM solution architecture, including models, dimensions, and business rules.
• Lead platform selection and architecture discussions for leading EPM tools.
• Set the target finance data architecture, integrating EPM with ERP, operational systems, and cloud data platforms.
• Direct engineers in building the finance data architecture, ensuring fluency in pipelines, integration, and data quality.
• Own the design of AI and machine-learning use cases for enhanced planning, including predictive forecasting, anomaly detection, and automated variance analysis.
• Design human-in-the-loop controls to maintain finance oversight of model outputs.
• Lead complex EPM, data, and AI programs from discovery through deployment and hypercare.
• Act as the design authority, ensuring solutions meet finance requirements for control, reconciliation, and auditability.
• Keep senior stakeholders aligned through design reviews and governance.
• Build trusted relationships with CFOs, finance leaders, CIOs, and chief data officers.
• Originate and shape EPM, finance transformation, data, and AI opportunities.
• Develop the practice's offering, reusable assets, and points of view.
• Lead and develop team members.
• Bring agentic tooling and orchestration into design, analysis, and delivery processes.

Requirements

• Deep command of enterprise performance management (planning, forecasting, consolidation, reporting, close) and FP&A.
• Experience with driver-based and rolling forecasting, scenario modeling, and long-range planning.
• Strong grasp of how EPM connects to the wider enterprise (ERP, operational systems, cloud data platforms).
• Familiarity with SQL, APIs, and modern data-integration technologies.
• Some exposure to Python or ML platforms (deep engineering not required).
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary and distributed teams.
• Strong client-facing consulting skills, comfortable with senior finance and technology stakeholders.
• Ability to translate complex finance, data, and technology topics into clear business recommendations.
• Good judgment and structured problem-solving skills for ambiguous problems.
• Clear communication under pressure.
• Ability to develop people and make sound, decisive calls.
