About the Role
Provide administrative and financial services to a profit center, reporting to a Senior Accountant or Financial Manager.
Responsibilities
- Assist accountant with client contractual requirements for billing and accounts receivable.
- Support accountant in auditing client billing and project ledger per contract, GAAP, and company policy.
- Process accounts payable for vendor invoices and maintain up-to-date accounts for assigned projects.
- Process subcontractor accounts payable, ensuring lien waivers and contract/insurance requirements are met.
- Assist with the monthly close process, posting or accruing client bills and project costs.
- Provide monthly updates on project assets and rentals for insurance documentation.
- Assist with project financial closeout, verifying final contract amounts and subcontractor agreements.
- Support internal and external audit requests.
- Perform other assigned activities, duties, and responsibilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited program, or equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- General knowledge of basic accounting principles.
- Ability to research and resolve problems independently.
- Promptly escalate issues.
