About the Role
The Housekeeping Supervisor ensures that the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms, public areas, back of house, and landings meet Omni four-star/four-diamond standards.
Responsibilities
- Inspects the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and public areas.
- Assigns special assignments as directed by the Housekeeping Leaders.
- Assists in the cleaning of guest rooms when necessary.
- Assists in processing AM and PM room status reports.
- Reports any needed repairs or discrepancies of guest rooms.
- Ensures that all Guest Room Attendants have appropriate supplies and linens.
- Ensures that the Guest Room Attendant’s linen cart is neat and well organized.
- Ensures that linen closets on guest room floors are completely stocked.
- Maintains supply cage stock, neat and clean at all times.
- Ensures all guest rooms are punched in via the phone after completion.
- Ensures VIP rooms are inspected ASAP.
- Ensures check out/vacated rooms are a priority.
- Maintains knowledge of hotel, facilities, and events.
- Ensures hotel, guest, and associates are maintained in a safe and secure environment.
Requirements
- Previous housekeeping and/or other relevant hotel experience required.
- Able to maintain 4-Diamond level cleanliness standards.
- Able to work with management on special projects.
- Able to set priorities for your section and provide feedback to others that enhances performance.
- Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency.
- Ability to work and perform effectively in a fast-paced role.
- Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
- Previous experience in housekeeping is strongly preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Basic English skills are required (must be able to answer basic questions about services and amenities, give directions to guests, etc.).
- Ability and willingness to work a varied schedule which includes working on weekends and holidays.
Skills
- Strong visual attention to detail.
- Ability to move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance.
- Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
- Requires repetitive motion.
