About the Role
TPG's Client Reporting team is seeking a high-performing Analyst to join a fast-growing, technically sophisticated team at the intersection of private credit, data engineering, and institutional investor relations. This role offers an exceptional opportunity for an analytically rigorous professional to combine technical depth with high-impact stakeholder management at one of the world's leading alternative asset managers. The team serves as the analytics function of Platform Finance, working directly with portfolio management, investor relations, and fund operations to deliver critical reporting and insights to institutional investors. As an Analyst, you will own the production and delivery of monthly and quarterly investor reports, performance materials, and regulatory templates, while building the automated data pipelines and analytical infrastructure that power these deliverables. This role demands both strong technical capabilities and excellent interpersonal skills, requiring daily use of SQL and Python, building Power BI dashboards, and automating complex workflows, while also serving as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end production and delivery of monthly and quarterly investor reports, performance summaries, regulatory templates, and exposure analyses.
- Build and maintain automated SQL/Python pipelines and Power BI dashboards that transform raw data into reporting-ready outputs.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders across portfolio management, investor relations, fund accounting, and operations.
- Proactively manage reporting timelines, gather requirements, validate data, and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain strong, trust-based relationships across technical and non-technical teams.
- Design and implement robust automation workflows using SQL, Python, Alteryx, and Power BI to eliminate manual processes and improve efficiency.
- Write production-quality, well-documented code with built-in validation and reconciliation controls.
- Translate complex business needs into technical solutions.
- Communicate effectively across audiences and escalate issues appropriately.
- Demonstrate flexibility and ownership during quarterly reporting cycles and time-sensitive deadlines.
- Leverage AI tools strategically to accelerate code development, troubleshoot technical issues, and enhance analytical workflows.
- Apply rigorous validation to ensure accuracy and reliability of AI-generated outputs.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities to standardize reporting processes and scale team capacity.
- Stay current with emerging tools and best practices in data analytics and BI.
- Bring fresh ideas to improve workflows.
- Contribute to team documentation, maintain code repositories, and document standard operating procedures.
- Share technical insights that elevate the entire team's capabilities.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or finance analytics.
- Asset management/financial services experience strongly preferred.

- Hands-on experience building automated workflows and data pipelines in Databricks.
- Experience with Power BI or similar BI platforms.
- Advanced Excel skills (Power Query, complex formulas, pivot tables).
- Demonstrated use of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) for coding or problem-solving.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data quality.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to thrive under deadline pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency with Alteryx for data preparation, transformation, and workflow automation.
