About the Role

The Account Supervisor is responsible for project delivery, supervising the team from initiation to completion. This role requires proactive initiative, teamwork, and a focus on developing strategic planning skills by assisting in the development of new strategies and initiatives based on client needs. Occasional project-related travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the team in managing ongoing project progress, content and client priorities.
  • Ensure delivery of high-quality medical education programs and materials, on time and on budget.
  • Manage and ensure the quality of services to Clients, including attention to detail, status and budget reports, organized communication, and responsiveness.
  • Support the Account Director in developing strategies for each therapeutic portfolio and ensure all projects link back to strategy.
  • Review project briefs and develop strategy and creative briefs as required.
  • Coordinate project efforts between medical writing, creative, clients, and programmers, managing and adjusting priorities.
  • Support the Account Director in managing day-to-day accounts, ensuring positive client relationships and preparing proposals.
  • Ensure financial follow-up and billing requests, including budget recaps and flagging overages.
  • Assist Account Directors in delivering strategic consulting for client growth and developing the Agency’s offering and client base.
  • Guide and oversee the growth and development of Account Managers and Senior Account Managers.
  • Build estimates and manage project profitability.
  • Apply the Company’s ideals to all decision-making business approaches.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of related pharmaceutical/healthcare experience from agency, marketing, and/or medical education account management.
  • Knowledge of healthcare and pharmaceutical practices.
  • Working knowledge of various medical communication formats (print, digital, live events).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong strategic potential and interest.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
  • Proactive, can-do attitude to finding solutions.
  • Self-motivation, willingness to stay up to date in a fast-paced environment, engagement, and persistence.
  • Ability to listen, learn and add value.
  • Experience with best practices for medical communications (Health Canada, IMC) and awareness of PAAB and ASC standards for Canadian Accounts.
  • Experience in financial management.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership while being a team player.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a service attitude.
  • Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
