About the Role
This position will run design programs independently, read customer specifications, read terms and conditions, provide support for service and equipment in the field, and will fill out O & D. Key results areas include coordinating production with problem solving and prevention, resource management, output management and reporting, continuous improvement, equipment and process maintenance, and professional development.
Responsibilities
- Take direction from senior engineer, supervisor, and/or manager.
- Initiate interdepartmental communication.
- Engage in product requirements definition and reviews.
- Handle calls from customers and provide a professional customer interface.
- Participate as reviewer in the design review process.
- Identify, review, and develop product improvements.
- Identify, review and implement process improvements.
- Play an active role in product design/development including review of technical details, design for manufacture, and design for test.
- Take part in sales proposal, service, or project process.
- Work in a team environment with operations, estimators, designers, drafters, and/or sales representatives.
- Develop skills to explain to customers how Graham equipment works and how to troubleshoot.
- Demonstrate initiative, positive attitude, and enthusiasm for the job.
- Follow up with supervisor on professional development goals and opportunities.
- Take an interest and express a desire to grow with the company.
Requirements
- Must be willing to work overtime as required.
- International travel may be required.
- Travel up to 10% of working time.
- Must be able to work in the U.S without sponsorship.
- Ability to obtain US government security clearance is desired.
- While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is primarily required to sit, stand, walk, stoop, and bend.
- Required to speak and communicate clearly with others.
- While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is required to read, write, analyze data and reports, exercise judgment, develop plans, procedures and goals, present information to others and work under pressure.
- This job primarily operates in a clerical office setting.
- This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets.
- While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is also exposed to high level of manufacturing and equipment noise as well.
Skills
- Proficiency in MS office applications including spreadsheet, enterprise resource planning, database, and specialized application software.

Experience Level
- 0 to 2 years of on the job experience with an AA technical degree.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical or Chemical preferred
