About the Role
The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for Personal Training. Under the direction of the Fitness and Wellness Director, Personal Trainers will work with a diverse population developing unique and individualized programs that ensure client safety, satisfaction, and enhancement of personal fitness goals.
Responsibilities
- Conduct private and small group personal training sessions.
- Uphold Christian principles and YMCA core values (caring, honesty, respect, responsibility).
- Create a welcoming atmosphere to build relationships and increase personal training enrollments and member retention.
- Instruct members on safe and effective exercise techniques, including warm-up, stretching, aerobic conditioning, strength training, equipment use, and workout progression.
- Provide encouragement and expertise to clients supporting their health and well-being goals.
- Schedule and conduct appointments according to client availability.
- Administer, track, and evaluate health history questionnaires, fitness assessments, and other documentation for individual exercise programs.
- Promote and sell personal training programs and services while achieving monthly revenue and session goals.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers via email and other methods.
- Demonstrate ability to work with all age groups and fitness levels.
- Follow all Y policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.
- Report incidents and accident reports as necessary.
- Demonstrate ability to stand and be mobile for the majority of the work shift.
- Act as a positive role model using the YMCA's core values of honesty, caring, respect, and responsibility.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 21 years old.
- Excellent communication and people skills.

- Current nationally accredited Personal Training certification (required upon hire)
- Current certification in CPR/AED (required)
Salary/Compensations
- $22.00 - $28.00 Hourly
