About the Role

SS&C GlobeOp, a division of SS&C Technologies, is seeking an Associate Director, Fund Accounting – Private Markets to provide accounting and reporting for a growing private markets client base. This role involves working with a global team to develop private markets coverage and services in EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Manage client deliverables and coordinate with internal departments across multiple jurisdictions to ensure deadlines are met.
• Prepare and/or review NAV calculations, audited and unaudited financial statements, partner capital statements, management fee calculations, drawdowns, distributions, and underlying work papers.
• Serve as a daily point of contact for clients, ensuring prompt and professional communication and developing ongoing relationships.
• Prepare appropriate materials and responses for client meetings and other requests.
• Coordinate, support, and facilitate the external audit process and other third-party reporting.
• Gain exposure by working on investment accounting, fund administration, client servicing, and investor servicing.
• Implement new processes and technology to support new business initiatives, improve control, and increase operating efficiency.
• Develop skills to work under pressure in a high-growth environment, implementing high-quality processes with a strong focus on process development.
• Coordinate private markets services across internal functions including Cash, Corporate Secretarial, Legal, and AML.
• Network and communicate across Private Markets and associated internal and external businesses, interacting with Risk & Controls, Legal, Implementations, and Sales.

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles, general ledgers, and financial statements within Private Markets.
• Knowledge of private markets, net asset value calculations, and capital activities, stemming from fund administration background.
• Knowledge of US GAAP/UK GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong client service focus, including the ability to effectively respond to client needs.
• Meet internal and external demands and deadlines by being results-oriented and demonstrating the ability to operate on initiative in a controlled environment.
• Ability to analyze a situation and its potential solution, working through all steps to its conclusion.
• Prior experience working in private equity or for a private markets fund manager is a strong advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to multi-task.
• Outstanding organizational and problem-solving skills.
